For over 20 years the President of Home Path Financial, Jeff Kleiner, has been helping people move into homes while simultaneously helping them to restore their credit. A practice of educating buyers on the process of qualifying for and owning a home developed over the years.
From 1995 to 2005 this practice was perfected through his mortgage broker company called Consumer Loan Advisors, Inc. A proprietary educational system was created for applicants requiring them to complete our Handbook to Homeownership, which includes a household budget, savings plan, and a thought provoking questionnaire. This program also utilizes a 12 to 24 month personalized plan for their success via quarterly contacts and reviews, guiding them step by step towards a lower rate conventional mortgage.
In 2006, Mr. Kleiner opened a new partnership called Intuitive Mortgage Services (IMS) that allowed outside investors to partake in the profits of the company’s portfolio mortgages. During this time, IMS moved towards purchasing more properties and originating less mortgages in order to leverage higher profits and better default management.
In 2008, IMS changed the name to Home Path Financial, LP. The new name was designed to reflect this process and better emphasize the credit education program.
